It didn’t hit me that I was moving cross country until I got to New Mexico. This was when I officially felt I was on the West Coast, and officially when I felt my move was real. New Mexico is called the land of enchantment and that is exactly what it is. I fell in love with the small Spanish style villa’s that were placed all over the city. They all had an individual flare, with brightly painted shutters or doors.
What surprised me was how much Santa Fe was focused on art. Canyon Road is a famous 2 mile span of artists work consisting of paintings, sculptors, and other forms of modern art. It was a great to pop into each studio and take a look at different artist’s work.
